Chapter 1

A golden cat was laying in a nest.The cat's name was Goldensun and she was giving birth.Goldensun was breathing hard and being racked with spasms."Hold on Goldensun you can do it!",whispered Goldenlight."Here comes the first one."With a jerk a small kit came out.Later six kittens sat suckling at Goldensun's side.But as moonhigh came something extrodinary happened.With a flash that seemed to come from the moon itself,the kittens shone pure silver,never before seen by the golden cats.Goldenstar gasped,"My word,what is happening!". "Shhhh!Can't you see that Goldensun is exhausted!We will come back in the morning after she has rested.Understand?""Yes Goldenlight."sighed Goldenstar. In the morning Goldenlight came back to check on the queen and her little kits only to see that around Goldensun there was a pool of blood.Goldenlight gasped and rushed over to the still queen.Goldenlight checked for her heartbeat and sighed when she found none."I will miss you Goldensun.But what will happen to your strange kits?"

Prologue

A black silhouette sat beside a still pool gazing into its shadowy depths.Suddenly words floated to the top."They shine like the moon,burn like the sun,but beware of their natures,for they are the ones."
